Friday 25th October, 2024, 6.30-9pm @ North Preston Lifesaving Club, 677 High Street, Preston NAARM

Instead of making a random painting that ends up in your mums garage you make a series of prints that can be framed, gifted, turned into cards, collaged or whatever your creative little heart desires, let me introduce you to Gelli and Sip!
You may have heard of paint and sip, well this is like that but better!
What is Gelli Plate printing and can I do it?

Gelli Plate printing is a fun, easy, accessible and highly addictive hand-printing process that anyone can do. One of the best things about this process is that there are endless possibilities, it is super enagaging and once you start it’s hard to stop!
What will we be using?
Glad you asked; We will be using a gelli plate, that is a printing plate made from gelatine and glycerine that is formulated to be responsive, stable and pick up equisite detail as a printing surface.
We use water based acrylic paints that are not toxic, are easily washed off your skin (or clothes) and are not staining smelly inks.
We will be using a brayer or hand roller to roll out our paint onto the plate
We will use lots of different objects to print with such as plant materials like leaves and flowers, to fabric, lace, ribbon, wool, paper, stencils and more.
and we will use an assortment of papers to print onto.

ALL MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED AND ALL ABILITIES ARE WELCOME
Doors open from 6:00pm and you are welcome to arrive then, check out some of the art on display in the gallery and have a drink.
Drinks may be available on the night but you are encouraged to BYO
This event is 18+

Finally please drink responsibly, we invite having a “sip” purely for the relaxed playfulness that alcohol might provides not as an invitation for a “big night”. Please understand that if we think you are drinking at a rate that is making you or others unable to enjoy the event we will have to kindy ask you to finish your session.
