This workshop takes an embodied approach to creative practice and considers how being present and grounded in our body/mind can create space for art making beyond our usual/expected habits and patterns.
Inviting relational presence we will cultivate a sensitivity, moving through the body and into creative representations and expressions of experience.

ABOUT BODYWEATHER
The point of departure is Body Weather, a multifaceted training and performance practice that investigates the intersections of bodies and their environments. Body Weather conceives the body as something that, like the weather, is constantly changing through an infinite and complex system of processes.
Considering bodies as ever-evolving landscapes in continuous exchange with their environment, we navigate possible terrains through physical and imagined tasks and curiosities.

We engage physical/dance training, mental training and reflection, walking and silent wandering, multiple modes of experiencing body, drawing/mark-making, writing, sounding and mental topographies of place.
This workshop will appeal to artists, practitioners and students working in performance, dance, art, sculpture, photography, theatre and visual arts, creative/expressive therapies, group facilitators and people interested in the body, the environment, ecology, eco-somatics and natural history.
No previous dance or art training is necessary.
